We Live in Lines
Lines don’t exist in nature (right?). In fact, it can be argued that lines don’t exist at all. However, figurative lines and the illusion of physical lines are omnipresent in today’s manmade world. Deal with your skepticism by looking around; buildings, screens, roads, doorways, all design. We work in a geometric landscape, which is a testament to the high focus on efficiency and function, especially in the econmic lens. The human being in this context creates a contrast which has is a constant influence in my work, aesthetic, and overall interest. In one image, i would encapsulate my artist statement as "the rat in the laboratory"; the interplay of man and machine....
